FAQs
Where are you located in reference to nearby cities?
We are located in the small community of Pinantan Lake. We’re about 25 minutes from Kamloops, 35 minutes from Chase, and an hour and a half from Vernon. Easy to get to, but far enough out to feel like a getaway.
What is your wedding season?
Since we are located in the mountains and are a completely outdoor venue, we want to ensure the best weather for your event. Our wedding season runs from June 1st to September 15th, with limited dates available. Due to ALR regulations, we only host ten events a year, so spots fill up quickly!
How many guests can the space accommodate?
We can host up to 120 guests for your event. It’s a cozy, intimate setting where everyone can feel like family.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
You sure can! Just keep in mind that you’ll need to follow BC’s liquor laws. If you are charging your guests for drinks (e.g., toonie bar), a Special Event Permit is required (https://justice.gov.bc.ca/lcrb/sep). If you are charging your guests for drinks our bartenders are certified with Serving it Right and can be included as an add-on with a bar service package.
What is the insurance requirement for weddings?
We ask that the hosts obtain a Special Events Liability Policy that covers the entire event, with a minimum coverage of $3 million.
Do you offer lodging?
While we don’t have on-site lodging, we’re happy to recommend nearby places to stay. Kamloops has several hotels, plus local Airbnbs and campgrounds for those who want to keep it casual and close to nature. Check out our list of vendors for some nearby options.
How can I reserve my date?
Dates are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. To secure your spot, we’ll need a non-refundable security retainer and a signed contract. Once we’ve got those, your date is set!
Do you have parking?
Our parking areas can fit up to 45 vehicles, and your guests can leave their cars overnight, picking them up by noon the next day.
Do you have washroom facilities onsite?
Yes! We provide clean, well-maintained portable restrooms for guests, including a handwashing station.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Most areas of the venue are on flat ground, but as a rural property, some terrain may be uneven. We’re happy to discuss accessibility needs ahead of time to ensure everyone is comfortable.
Can we visit the property before booking?
Absolutely. We’d love to show you around! Visits are by appointment only.
Do you have a getting-ready area for the couple?
Yes, we offer a charming prep space with access to power and mirrors, perfect for final touches before the ceremony.
Can we bring in our own vendors?
Definitely! You’re welcome to bring your own vendors (photographer, florist, caterer, etc.), or choose from our list of trusted local partners who know the space well.
Is there power and lighting available?
Yes, we have power access for small equipment, music, and lighting. We recommend discussing your power needs in advance to ensure everything runs smoothly.
